IGI 1250 is a fully refined paraffin wax with a meltpoint range of 141-148F. This product meets the FDA requirements set forth in 21 CFR 178.3710 for use in nonfood articles in contact with food and in 21 CFR 172.886 for use in food. Paraffin waxes are primarily linear alkanes. They are typically crystalline and brittle in nature. They typically appear translucent and white, with a glossy appearance. They also tend to have lower melting points vs. Microcrystalline waxes.
