Plasticolors® DL Colorants for Polyurethanes

Vibrantz Technologies’ Plasticolors® DL colorants have been designed to provide an effective way to tint a broad range of polyurethane systems and consist of organic and inorganic colorants dispersed in a 4800 Mw Triol with a hydroxyl number of 35. The DL colorants are low in viscosity and suitable for third stream operations. When used in a batch process, the low viscosity makes them pumpable, flowable and pourable in a manner that makes them exceptionally easy to handle. Pigment solids concentration is optimized to balance viscosity with the color strength. Consistent color quality is made available in a large palette of colors and pigment chemistries.

CHROMA-CHEM® 641 – Aldehyde Resin Based Pigment Dispersions

CHROMA-CHEM® 641 colorants have been designed by Vibrantz Technologies to specifically for use in all non-aqueous industrial and maintenance coatings. These new colorants are exceptional for universal tinting of solvent-based general industrial coatings.

The pigments used in this exciting colorant line are dispersed in an aldehyde resin vehicle which provides excellent wetting and dispersing properties. The solvents used are Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether (PM) Acetate and Rule 66 Mineral Spirits. Each colorant contains a carefully selected and unique blend of vehicle, solvent, pigment, and additives. This results in high yield acceptance in a wide range of non-aqueous coatings applications. CHROMA-CHEM® 641 colorant formulations are designed for use in dispenser tinting or for in-plant systems for tinting or full pigmentation.

Bio-Based Colorants for Epoxy, Polyurethane and Polyaspartic Coatings

With the FLV Series colorants Vibrantz has developed the next generation pigment dispersions based on a sustainable binder made from renewable sources. These colorants are formulated for use in all epoxy coatings as well as polyurethane and polyaspartic coatings for multiple substrates. The rheological profile of the FLV Series yields a product line with superior handling properties when compared to many other colorants based on 100% solids epoxy or polyol resins.
The FLV Series pigment dispersions consist of organic and inorganic pigments milled in a proprietary system and compatible with epoxy, polyaspartic, and polyurethanes. The binder is reactive in epoxy coatings and improves coatings properties such as early hardness and chemical, corrosion, impact and abrasion resistance.
